Brentwood School recently held their High School Honors Day Program on Tuesday, May 5 in a virtual setting, commending student achievements in an online streamed video to Facebook and YouTube. Held in the same format, the Brentwood Fine Arts Program was broadcasted on Friday, May 15, and the Middle School Honors Day Program is scheduled for Monday, May 18.

Students and staff moved to a distance learning model after regular classes were cancelled earlier this year. “Eagle Nation” is encouraged to follow Brentwood School on Facebook and Instagram, as the school has been creating posts to honor graduating seniors, as well as Brentwood alumni, who are currently serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 situation in the health field.

Through the disruption of the 2019 novel coronavirus, Brentwood has continued to recognize the vast and storied history of the school, which is celebrating its 50th school year. To salute their past while school was in session, Brentwood commemorated former state champions, homecoming queens, and longest tenured staff members among others during the halftime sessions of sporting events.

Brentwood School was set to hold a 50th Anniversary Celebration deemed the ‘Golden Gala’ on Saturday, May 2, which has since been postponed. The new dates for the ‘Golden Gala’ are Thursday, October 8 and Friday, October 9. A golf tournament will be held on Thursday, while a celebration and BBQ dinner is set for the following evening on Friday. The golf tournament will be held at the Twin City County Club. The 50th Anniversary Celebration is hosted at McCoy Barn in Tennille. The celebratory evening will hold an auction, a $10,000 Raffle, and will provide musical entertainment by the Kinchafoonee Cowboys.

Tickets to the ‘Golden Gala’ can be purchased HERE for $60 per person through August 31 and $75 per person beginning September 1.

WACO 100 congratulates all graduating students and wishes the very best to the Class of 2020 in their future endeavors.
