In accordance with governmental guidelines and regulations stemming from the current COVID-19 situation, the Washington County Ag Center Rodeo has been rescheduled for Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5.
The WACO Ag Center’s rodeo was originally scheduled to be held on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4 before being postponed to Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30. The ongoing nature of the 2019 novel coronavirus saw state of Georgia leaders join with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Public Health (DPH) officials to advise both delays in the scheduling of the rodeo.
The Washington County Ag Center, which is located at 882 Grady Mertz Road in Tennille, will hold the Washington County Ag Center Rodeo on the first weekend of September.
Gates will open at 5:00 P.M. on Friday and Saturday nights. Rodeo events are set to begin at 7:00 P.M.
Ticket pricing for a singular night is as followed:
Under 6 Years of Age: Free
Youth: $10
Adults: $15
Advanced tickets may be bought at any Smith Farm Supply location for 20% your total purchase.
The Washington County Ag Center Rodeo is officially sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) and the Southeastern Professional Rodeo Association (SPRA.)
Sanctioned contest events at the rodeo will include bareback riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, team roping, and bull riding.
The Washington County Ag Center Rodeo will be produced by the Hedrick Rodeo Company from Madisonville, Tennessee. The family owned and operated company is celebrating 18 years of producing rodeos in 2020.
