Due to the ongoing nature of the COVID-19 situation, the Rosa M. Tarbutton Memorial Library remains closed for public entry at this time; however, the library announced on Tuesday, May 26 that they will offer a “curbside pick-up” service until regular operations resume.
The “curbside pick-up” will take place Tuesday – Friday of each week. Hours of the pick-up span from 11:30 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.
Library book orders can be placed on the Georgia Pines Library Online Catalog or by calling the Rosa M. Tarbutton Memorial Library at 478-552-7466. Requested books must currently be housed at the Rosa M. Tarbutton Memorial Library, as the courier service to receive books from other libraries is currently unavailable.
Individuals will be contacted by the library when books are ready for the curbside pick-up service. They will be asked to park cars in a designated parking space at the library, and call library staff upon arrival. Patrons do not need to exit the vehicle at any point, as staff will deliver books in sanitized bags to the respective vehicles, where staff members will place the books in the individual’s backseat or trunk. The library notes to please allow one (1) business day for all transactions. Rosa M. Tarbutton Memorial Library staff will be clothed in masks and gloves during interactions with the public.
All return books must be placed in the library’s outside book-drop at this time.
