For the first week of June, Washington County saw 2 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. During the second week, 4 new cases were reported; during the third week in Washington County, 7 additional cases were reported.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reports 2 new cases of COVID-19 in Washington County through Thursday, June 25 of this week.
Since June 1, the Washington County number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases, as reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health, totals 15.
As previously reported by WACO 100, the month of May had 23 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The month of April saw 40 confirmed cases, while the month of March totaled 12.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases that Washington County has seen since the start of reporting by the Georgia Department of Health is 90. The DPH records 1 COVID-19 related death and 11 total COVID-19 related hospitalizations in the county since reporting began.
The first case of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the United States was announced on January 21. Washington County saw its first case on Monday, March 23.

The DPH reports that as of the 3:00 P.M. daily status update on June 25, the state of Georgia has seen 71,095 total cases of COVID-19 that resulted in 10,457 COVID-19 related hospitalizations, 2,222 COVID-19 related ICU admissions, and 2,745 COVID-19 related deaths.
The Washington County Regional Medical Center provides an update regarding COVID-19 cases on their Facebook page. According to their most recent post on Monday, June 22, an estimated 67 patients who tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered. 8 are currently in home isolation.
