Mr. Robert L. “Bobby” Bussell, of King Road, of Harrison, died Thursday, July 2, 2020. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m. in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille with military honors. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.
Mr. Bussell was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County the son of the late Willie Green Bussell and the late Pinky Porter Bussell. He worked for Union Camp as a yard foreman prior to working for the state at the Youth Development Detention Center in Sandersville in security. In retirement, Mr. Bussell worked for both Segars Sports and for 4-Hand Sporting Goods. Bobby loved to fish and hunt, however his favorite activity was “shooting the breeze”. He was an Air Force veteran and he is predeceased by his daughter Tracy B. Wood and his sister, Bessie Henderson.
Survivors are his wife, Jeanette Young Bussell; children, Tony Bussell and his wife Elaine of Riddleville, Steve Bussell and his wife Belinda of Tennille, Ken Sheppard and his wife Jeanette of Riddleville and Pam Brown and her husband James of Sandersville; grandchildren, Joseph Bussell, Sarah Hodges, Gabby Bussell, Bridgett Davis, Brooke Davis, Jessica Brown, Kevin Brown, Daniel Brown, Bert Clifton and Carol Lockwood; 15 great grandchildren; and siblings, Christine Brantley and Joan Glover.
The family will be at the Bussell Residence on King Road and they will receive friends at the graveside service.
