The suspect in the Sunday morning shooting has turned himself in, according to The Sandersville Police Department.
The suspect, identified as Marquez D. Little, turned himself in to the Washington County Jail Sunday afternoon on felony warrants.
As previously reported by WACO 100, Sandersville Police Officers responded to Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue behind Kaolin Plaza at approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday, July 26 in reference to a shooting.
The victim in the shooting was located on the ground with what the Sandersville Police Department is calling “an obvious deformity” to his lower leg from a gunshot wound.
The Sandersville Police Department thanked the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division for facilitating this arrest.
The investigation is ongoing.
