The Washington County Board of Education is offering three learning options for the 2020 – 2021 school year: traditional (Option A), hybrid (Option B), and blended remote (Option C).
With the traditional model, students will attend school Monday – Friday and participate in the traditional classroom model. Classes are set to begin on Friday, August 7.
The hybrid option sees students attending school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Students will participate in distance learning on the days they are not on site. Classes for the hybrid option are scheduled to start on Tuesday, August 11.
The third option is the blended remote where students complete schoolwork using the virtual/distance learning method 100 percent of the time. Parents choose between learning packets or online instruction via a web-based platform such as Zoom or Google Classroom. Orientation for the blended remote is scheduled for Monday, August 10 – Friday, August 14. Curriculum for the blended remote learning option will begin on Monday, August 17.
Brentwood Schools’ Open House will take place on Thursday, August 6. Families will be divided in alphabetical order by last name and given a time frame to attend the open house. During the designated time on campus families may visit the student’s classroom to meet his/her teacher and drop off school supplies. Brentwood School asks that families not congregate in the classrooms, hallways or on campus to allow time and space for all families to attend the event. They also ask that visits remain brief to minimize crowding. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Families with last names A – C from 5 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Families with last names D – H from 5:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Brentwood students will begin in-person instruction on Friday, August 7.
The 2020 – 2021 school year for Washington County NB&PW Club, Inc. Head Start/Georgia Pre-K has tentatively been set for September 8 for all sites. A hybrid instructional learning model was developed for Head Start. Parents will receive a letter in the mail with information about this model; the letter will also serve as notification for the child’s learning group – Group A or Group B. The group determines the days of the week that a child attends classes. The letter will also include the child’s teacher and the center of attendance.
