A special election to fill two vacant Tennille City Council seats will take place on Tuesday, November 3.

Qualifying took place last week for the District 2, Post 1 and the District 3, Post 1 Council seats.

These seats were formerly held by Marlene Garrard-Veal for District 2, Post 1, and Elaine Walk for District 3, Post 1.

Two qualified for the District 2, Post 1 Council seat: Sidney Swann and Rhonda Lemons.

Two qualified for the District 3, Post 1 City Council seat: Deborah Rhodes and Bobby Weston Williford.

All persons who are not registered to vote, but desire to register to vote in the special election, may register through the close of business on October 5.
