“It’s a tragedy,” said Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran when discussing the death of 55-year-old Chryl Farmer of Tennille who died after being struck by a vehicle early Monday morning.
According to Washington County Sheriff Cochran, Farmer, who was known as “Samone,” was walking to work at the Tennille Quick Mart around 3:45 a.m. on Monday, December 14 when she was struck by a vehicle.
Sheriff Cochran explained that the accident took place just outside of Tennille on Highway 15.
“It was near Channell Road, and that’s a real dark area,” said Sheriff Cochran.
Farmer was pronounced dead at the scene by the Coroner.
Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident.
