Help keep Sandersville beautiful by participating in this weekend’s two-day Trash Amnesty event in the City of Sandersville.
The City will continue their longstanding tradition of promoting spring cleaning by hosting two Trash Amnesty Days on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8.
The City of Sandersville asks that residents have their debris by the curbside for pickup no later than 7:00 A.M. on Friday, May 7.
In addition to the curbside collection, the City will also offer free dumpster drop-offs for residents of Sandersville from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Public Works Annex located at 124 South Hospital Road in Sandersville.
This event is open to City of Sandersville residents only. A City of Sandersville utility bill as well as a photo ID will be required.
Sandersville will accept the following items free of charge: old appliances, furniture, bulk items, cardboard, computers, and electronics.
Tires will also be accepted during the Trash Amnesty Days; however, a fee will be charged based on the type of tire – car, truck, and/or tractor tires.
Items that are not accepted on Trash Amnesty Days include chemicals, paint, or animal remains.
