On Wednesday, June 2 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released photos of Tina Prince from the night of her disappearance. Prince is seen wearing a dark tank-top, camouflage pants, and dark flip-flops.
It’s been almost five days since 46-year-old Tina Prince’s family has seen or heard from her.
According to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran, this is very unusual for Prince, who typically keeps in close contact with friends and family.
On Tuesday, June 1, the Georgia State Patrol’s Aviation Division assisted with the search for the missing first grade teacher in Washington County. According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, Aviation performs search and rescue missions utilizing Forward Looking Infra-Red (FLIR) camera systems.
Prior to the air search, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Emergency Management Agency coordinated ground searches in the county on Monday, May 31.
According to Sheriff Cochran, Prince was last seen by her family at Puebla’s Mexican Restaurant in downtown Sandersville at approximately 8 p.m. on Friday, May 28.
Prince received a telephone call while with her family; she exited the restaurant to take the call, and when she returned, she told her family she was leaving for the evening.
Prince’s vehicle, a blue 2018 Kia Forte, was discovered in the Walmart parking lot early Sunday morning. Prince was not located with the vehicle.
Sheriff Cochran stated that through their investigation, they’ve determined that Prince met a friend in the Wal-Mart parking lot, and left with that friend.
Sheriff Cochran stated that Prince’s disappearance is very unusual.
“Her family is very concerned, as they should be,” said Sheriff Cochran.
On Tuesday, June 1, Washington County School Superintendent Dr. Rickey Edmond released the following statement concerning Ridge Road Primary School teacher Tina Prince’s disappearance:
The Washington County School District extends our support to Tina Prince, her family, and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has been impacted by her disappearance. We remain hopeful for her safe return, and pray for comfort for family and loved ones during this time. The Washington County School District will continue collaborating with the local law enforcement agencies heading up this investigation.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist with the investigation.
“We’ll continue searching until we find her,” said Sheriff Cochran.
Tina Prince, 46, is described as a 5’1” tall, white female, weighing approximately 140 pounds with green eyes and burgundy hair.
