Davisboro’s Independence Day Celebration Set for Saturday, June 26

Every year, thousands travel to the City of Davisboro for the annual Independence Day celebration.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Independence Day celebration was canceled, but the festivities are scheduled to return this year!

According to the Davisboro Independence Day Celebration Committee, the 2021 celebration will take place on Saturday, June 26.

“Our committee consists of dedicated men and women of our community who are committed to making our yearly observance of America’s freedom memorable,” said Davisboro Fire Chief William Alligood. He continued by saying, “We look forward to the fireworks display, which is recognized as one of the finest in the middle-Georgia area, as we promote the beauty of our community.”

The Davisboro Independence Day Celebration is seeking sponsors for the event, to contribute to this event, contact Davisboro City Hall by calling 478-348-4401.

The Independence Day celebration will feature food and craft vendors, as well as plenty of fun for the entire family.

According to Chief Alligood, this year’s celebration will also feature an Antique Car Show.

The Davisboro Volunteer Firefighters present the show each year; they are certified through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to shoot fireworks.
