Mrs. Lucille Mathis Page, age 93, of Tennille, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Tennille Retirement Home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 17 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial to follow in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Pastor Scott Ferguson and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate. Pallbearers will be Scotty Ferguson, Drew Jordan, Shawn Jordan, Jim Page, and Rod Page.
Mrs. Page was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Julian Mathis and the late Lula Bell Samples Mathis. She was a former supervisor for Delta Apparel and Royal Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Page attended the Sandersville Community Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cathy Page Taylor of Tennille and Patty Page Farmer of Sandersville; son, Andy Page and his wife Karen of Greenville, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Shawn Jordan, Nicole Carrington, Jim Page and Kara Farmer; six great-grandchildren, Victoria Hay, Drew Jordan, Brett Carrington, Sydney Carrington, Darien Jordan and Jayden Scoggins; and two great-great-grandchildren, Easton Hay and Remington Hay.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Sandersville Community Church, 1 Club Forest Drive, Tennille, Georgia 31089.
