
Mr. Jerome Darrisaw passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services were held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Brother Vinson Cason officiating.
Jerome was born on May 30, 1966 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of Mrs. Ola Mae Darrisaw Ingram. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. John Lee Darrisaw and Mrs. Christine Darrisaw; uncle, Mr. Johnnie Askew; and aunt, Mrs. Mamie Ebron. Jerome attended Washington County Public Schools, Class of 1984. Jerome was united in holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart, the former Ms. Yvonne Tharpes, on December 30, 1987. He served in the United States Army for over twenty years. Jerome worked at the Johnson State Prison and for fourteen years at Advance Auto in Sandersville. He enjoyed watching sports and westerns on television, as well as doing yard work. Jerome attended meetings at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mr. Darrisaw leaves to cherish his precious memories, a loving wife of thirty-three years, Mrs. Yvonne Darrisaw, Sandersville; two daughters, Ms. Ambrea Y. Darrisaw and Ms. Terri Darrisaw, Sandersville; parents, Mrs. Ola Mae and Mr. Bennie Ingram, Milledgeville; sibling, Mr. Patrick (Michelle) Ingram, Milledgeville; four aunts, Mrs. Josephine (Johnnie) May, Oconee, Ms. Lorraine Darrisaw, Oconee, Mrs. Sally Lue Bouyer, New Jersey, Mrs. Annie Lee Walker, Milledgeville; uncle, Mr. George (Inez) Askew, Sandersville; sister-in-law, Mrs. Lorrie Ann Rosier, Augusta; brother-in-law, Mr. Leon (Linda) Tharpes and Mr. Melvin Jackson, Sandersville; dearly loved extended family, Ms. Crystal May, Ms. Kimberly May, and Mr. Cory May; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
