Washington County Regional Medical Center announced an updated visitation policy, effective Tuesday, July 27, due to rising COVID-19 cases.
Visitors to the hospital are reminded to wear masks for the duration of their visit.
Washington County Regional Medical Center is allowing one ‘patient family representative’ to visit with an inpatient on the Medical-Surgical and IMC floor during the hours of 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The hospital reminds visitors to NOT visit patients if they have signs or symptoms of COVID-19, fever, shortness of breath, cough, or any flu-like symptoms.
Patients in the COVID-19 unit or Isolation will continue with the “No Visitor” policy.
Washington County Regional Medical Center asks that patient family representative visitors abide by the following guidelines when visiting at the hospital:
– One patient family representative may enter the building through the Emergency Room (ER) entrance during the designated times, which are 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
– No visitors will be allowed for patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or persons under investigation.
– Monday through Friday visitors may enter through the Emergency Room (ER) entrance to be screened by a hospital representative at the COVID screening desk before you make your way upstairs. Please wear a mask upon entering the building.
– Saturday and Sunday, visitors may report to the Emergency Room (ER) check-in desk and a staff member from the Medical-Surgical floor will be called to perform a screening and to escort you to your destination.
– Once a visitor arrives in a patient’s room, Washington County Regional Medical Center asks that you continue wearing your mask through the duration of the visit, and do not leave the room during visiting hours. Once a visitor leaves a room, they must exit the facility for the day.
– The Emergency Room (ER) will limit visitors to one patient advocate when clinically necessary and circumstances allow.
– Outpatient services will be limited to the patient-only, unless clinically necessary.
– The gift shop will be closed.
– The cafeteria will be closed to the public.
