Qualifying Scheduled for Several Local Municipalities

Qualifying for the November 2 General Election will take place for the Town of Deepstep, the City of Tennille, the City of Oconee, and the City of Riddleville beginning Monday, August 16.

Qualifying for the City of Tennille’s election will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, and end at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 20. The qualifying fee for Mayor: $216, and the qualifying fee for Council Member is $108.

In the Town of Deepstep, qualifying will be held at the Deepstep Town Hall beginning on Monday, August 16 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Tuesday, August 17 – Friday, August 20 from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. The qualifying fee for Mayor is $12.60, and the qualifying fee for Council is $10.50.

The City of Oconee’s qualifying will take place Monday, August 16 through Friday, August 20 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The qualifying fee for Mayor is $20, and the qualifying fee for Council is $10.

Qualifying for the City of Riddleville’s election will take place Monday, August 16 through Wednesday, August 18 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The qualifying fee for Mayor is $10, and the qualifying fee for Council is $5.

The Election will take place on Tuesday, November 2. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Early voting will be held from Saturday, October 16 through Friday, October 29.
