Swan Qualifies for District 2, Post 2 Tennille Council Seat

It took three qualifying periods to fill one Tennille City Council seat for District 2, Post 2.

The most recent extended qualifying period that ran from Monday, August 30 through Tuesday, August 31 had one person, Sidney Swan, qualify for that remaining Tennille City Council seat.

The Mayoral seat and the other five Tennille City Council seats were filled during the initial qualifying period that took place Monday, August 16 through Friday, August 20.

With no one qualifying for the District 2, Post 2 Council seat, the City of Tennille extended the qualifying period into the following week, running from Monday, August 20 through Tuesday, August 21; no one qualified at that time, either.

Once again, the City of Tennille extended qualifying for that one City Council seat in District 2, Post 2. Sidney Swan qualified for the City of Tennille’s District 2, Post 2 Council seat; he is unopposed.

– Councilperson for District 1, Post 1: Incumbent Brainard Crawford
– Councilperson for District 1, Post 2: Clifford Coleman
– Councilperson for District 2, Post 1: Incumbent Rhonda Lemons
– Councilperson for District 2, Post 2: Sidney Swan
– Councilperson for District 3, Post 1: Incumbent Deborah Rhodes
– Councilperson for District 3, Post 2: Incumbent David Hartley

With no contested races, the City of Tennille will not hold an election in November.
