It’s “Back to School” season in Sandersville!

Washington County Public Schools and Brentwood School are set to start classes this week.

The 2022 – 2023 school year will begin its 180-day calendar on Friday, August 5.

While teachers will not officially welcome students through classroom doors on Friday, all schools are holding preliminary events on Thursday, August 4.

Washington County Public Schools will be holding a District-wide Open House on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Students and parents/guardians are invited to visit their schools for consultation with teachers and staff.

For the second consecutive year, the Washington County School District will provide the Washington County High School, T.J. Elder Middle School, Ridge Road Elementary School, and Ridge Road Primary School with basic school supplies. Students are not asked to furnish their own.

Bus Route information for Washington County Public School students can be found HERE.

Brentwood School will also host an Open House on Thursday with their annual “Back2School Blast” event from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A Chic-fil-a food truck will be on-site while parents/guardians and students settle into classrooms and meet instructors.
