Ronnie Adams, age 61, of Sandersville passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. The family will gather with friends on Wednesday, July 19th and Thursday, July 20th from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in their residence at 6432 Highway 88 of Sandersville.
Mr. Adams was born in Millen and reared in Washington County. He was a 1980 graduate of Washington Country High School. Ronnie began his working career while in high school at Miller’s Food Store. Following graduation, Mr. Adams began a 39-year career in the Kaolin industry, retiring as a Production Foreman with Thiele Kaolin Company. He was an avid bass fisherman, enjoyed searching for local native American artifacts, and pursued herpetology in collecting various snake species. Ronnie was a devoted and passionate fan of the two-time National Champion Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Adams found his greatest pride and joy in spending time with his family and pets.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Eloise Carter Adams; children, Carin Jones and husband Michael of Sandersville, Ainsley Jones and husband Joey of Jones County, and Bethany Tanner and husband Jon of Sandersville; grandchildren, Carter Young, Harper Young, Avery Jones, Holden Jones, and Sally Tanner; parents, Joe Evans and JoeAnne M. Evans; siblings, Jody Evans and wife Shelia of Sandersville, Todd Evans and wife Melissa of Sandersville, and Marty Evans and wife Lori of Macon; and his beloved dogs, Bella, Bonnie, and Poppy.
