Fall’s fun continues with the Washington County Fair – back and better than ever with carnival games, prizes, food, and more!

Spanning from Tuesday, October 17 through Saturday, October 21, the fair will be held in the Washington County Agricultural Center at 882 Grady Mertz Road in Tennille from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The Washington County Fair is again presented by two local organizations – First Love Kids and Freedom Fighters of Georgia. All money raised, following payment for the rental of grounds, will be divided between the community operations.

First Love Kids is an outreach ministry that provides a nurturing learning environment to inspire academic and spiritual growth while encouraging children and adolescents to reach their full potential.

“On behalf of First Love Kids and the Freedom Fighters of Georgia, we are excited to continue a tradition that our community looks forward to each fall,” said Stephen Everett, Board Member of First Love Kids. “We are grateful for the opportunity to join together to provide family entertainment while also using the proceeds to benefit two deserving ministries in our area.”

Freedom Fighters is a non-profit Christian based organization that helps young men struggling with addiction. The program is a minimum of 13 months, focusing on males aged 17 to 25 years. While enrolled in the program, young men learn a trade of horticulture, construction, welding, landscaping, or mechanics. Freedom Fighters also offers GED classes, servant leadership and family recovery programs, and attendance in the Breaking Free Church.

The gate fee for the Washington County Fair is $5.00.
