Mr. Richard Wayne Jackson, age 79, of Riddleville passed away at his residence on Friday, November 3, 2023 following an extended illness. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at on Tuesday, November 7 at 2:00 P.M. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel of Sandersville. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at on Monday, November 6 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the May and Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late James Herman Jackson, Sr. and the late Grace Beddingfield Jackson. He worked as a Research Lab Technician for Thiele Kaolin Company for 47 years. Wayne was a member of the Riddleville Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his brother, James Herman Jackson, Jr.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Cook Jackson of Riddleville; sons, Michael Wayne Jackson and wife Angel of Macon and Terry Richard Jackson and wife Katie Levesque of Ottawa, Canada; grandchildren, Cassi Jackson, Zayne Jackson, Henri Levesque, and Jacques Levesque; brothers, Ronald Jackson and wife Betty of Riddleville, Henry Jackson and wife Joy of Riddleville, and Bruce Jackson and wife Edie of Sandersville.
