Ms. Agnes Telfair, age 76, of Harrison passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Wrightsville Manor Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, January 17 at 12:00 p.m. in the Springfield Fellowship Church of Harrison. Interment will follow in the Harrison City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the L.M. Pierce Funeral Home.
Ms. Telfair was born on July 27, 1948 in Johnson County, the daughter of the late Linzy D. Henderson and the late Lee Franklin Telfair. At an early age, she proclaimed her devotion to the Lord and joined the Scott’s Chapel Baptist Church. Agnes would later join the Pastor Victor Cuyler led Springfield Fellowship Church, devotedly serving in a variety of ways. Ms. Telfair was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia A. Telfair.
Survivors include her brothers, Deacon Albert Travet and wife Louise of Harrison, Thomas L. Telfair and wife Betty of Harrison, William Lee Telfair and wife LaTonya of Atlanta, and Edward Love and wife Lisa of Durham, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
