A local member of the Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) will represent Sandersville in a statewide leadership development opportunity.

Dr. Saketha Adams, Vice President of Student Affairs at OFTC, was recently chosen to participate in the inaugural Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Senior Leadership Academy.

The professional development program is designed to foster career advancement within the TCSG and their 22 affiliated colleges across the state.

The new year brings forth the first year of the Senior Leadership Academy. It will combine a diverse group of talented professionals precisely selected because of their identified potential and dedication to the mission of the Technical College System of Georgia.

Split into eight two-day sessions, this yearlong program offers an intensive learning experience that totals 160 hours of content, including an 18-hour leadership training segment conducted by the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

“The Senior Leadership Academy is a vital investment in the future of technical education in Georgia,” said Greg Dozier, Commissioner of the Technical College System of Georgia. “By developing the skills and leadership capabilities of our rising professionals, we are ensuring that the TCSG continues to provide innovative, high-quality education that meets the evolving needs of our students, businesses, and communities.”

The Academy’s curriculum is designed to enhance participants’ understanding of the operational and administrative aspects of Technical College System of Georgia and its colleges. Key areas of focus include strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, budgeting, student affairs, compliance, workforce development, human resources, and legal services.

Participants will also have the unique opportunity to engage with key figures in the educational sector, such as the Commissioner of TCSG, college presidents, members of the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia, legislators, and various industry partners. Interactions are intended to provide invaluable insights and foster collaborative relationships that are vital for the advancement of strategic objectives.

“By investing in our people, the Technical College System of Georgia is not only enhancing the capabilities of its workforce, but also ensuring the continued excellence and relevance of its educational offerings in an ever-evolving landscape,” said Erica Harden, President of Oconee Fall Line Technical College. “We’re proud to have Dr. Saketha Adams represent OFTC in the 2025 Senior Leadership Academy.”
