Sandersville Police Chief Issue Statements Concerning Sunday Morning Incident

Sandersville Police Chief Victor Cuyler issued a letter concerning the shooting incident that took place over the weekend in the area of the Waffle House and Farmer’s Furniture in Sandersville.

According to Chief Cuyler’s letter, dated Monday, June 15, the incident took place early Sunday morning, June 14.

The victim sustained an injury to his left leg near the ankle. No one has been formally charged at this time.

“Please be aware that Mayor James Andrews and Police Chief Victor Cuyler are aware of the concerns from our citizens of Sandersville and our police department is working hard to find the perpetrator of this incident,” wrote Chief Cuyler. He added, “We also appreciate the support of Sheriff Cochran and his detectives and deputies.”

Sandersville Mayor Jimmy Andrews spoke on-air with Radio Station WACO 100 concerning the Sunday morning incident and faux scenario that occurred on Monday afternoon.
