
William Clinton “Clint” Smith, age 71, of Richmond Street, Sandersville, died Saturday, July 4, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 8th at 2:00 p.m. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Randall Smith and Reverend Jeff Cook will officiate. The family will greet friends following the funeral service at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith was reared in Tennille and graduated from Washington County High School. He later attended Riverside Military Academy and served in the Georgia National Guard. For many years, Clint worked for his family’s business, Washington Manufacturing as a supervisor. Later he worked in production for Thiele Kaolin Company from which he retired. Clint was a member of Tennille United Methodist Church and he is predeceased by his father, William Bobby Smith and sons, Jason McNally Smith and William Clinton “Will” Smith Jr.
Survivors are his wife, Joan McNally Smith of Sandersville, mother, Mary Eva Gay Smith of Tennille and cousins and friends.
