The Washington County Public School District has announced their 2021 – 2022 school year “Teachers of the Year.”
Washington County High School, T.J. Elder Middle School, Ridge Road Elementary School, Ridge Road Primary School, and the Achievement Academy recognized their winners last month. A Districtwide winner was announced on May 10.
2021 – 2022 “Teachers of the Year” are as followed:
* Washington County High School – Leigh Ann Brooker
* T.J. Elder Middle School – Befaney Roberson
* Ridge Road Elementary School – Shenika Woodard
* Ridge Road Primary School – Cassandra Curry
* Achievement Academy – Patrice Ellison
The Washington County Public School “District Teacher of the Year” is Leigh Ann Brooker of the Washington County High School.
Nominations for “Teacher of the Year” were made by peers in the individual schools. School Principals received the nominations and graded nominees on these categories: Classroom Engagement, Observation Data, Attendance, Professional Conduct, and Student Growth.
