Mrs. Eva Dell Tyson Everett, age 89, of Sandersville, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, at 11:00 a.m. in the Deepstep Community Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Stan Ballew will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Hitchcock, Jonathan Hitchcock, William Smith, Ross Smith, Cliff Smith, Justin Wright, Stephen Archer, and Kyle Black.

Mrs. Everett was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Robert Moses Tyson and the late Lila Maybell Shurling Tyson. She was a faithful member of the Deepstep Community Church, serving in the Church Choir and Laura Hall Circle. Eva Dell formerly worked as a business owner in Sandersville alongside her sister-in-law, Betty Everett. Mrs. Everett was well-known in her community for her work as an excellent seamstress and wonderful cook. She was a proud supporter of Brentwood School and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. Eva Dell was regarded as the epitome of a virtuous women – loved as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother – displaying a Christian example for all. Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Ostell Everett; daughter, Patricia Ann Everett Tyson; and siblings, Ellen Penrod, Nellie Boyd, Grady Tyson, John Tyson, and Fred Tyson.

Survivors include her daughters, Marie Hitchcock and husband Waylan, Susan Smith and husband Jimmy Ray, Sherri Black and husband Troy, and Jaime Archer and husband Julian all of Tennille; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Davis of Sandersville; and son-in-law, Trisan Tyson of Harrison.
