Mr. Raymond L Hiller, age 95, of Martinez passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, surrounded by his family. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the Brownwood Cemetery of Sandersville. Reverend David Brooks will officiate. The family will greet friends on Friday following the service in the cemetery.
Mr. Hiller was a native of Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Roy L. Hiller and the late Thelma T. Hiller. He relocated to Martinez, Georgia in 1982 for employment as a Pressman at WF Hall Printing. In retirement, Ray worked with Master City Corvette Company. Mr. Hiller was an avid golfer, enjoying rounds with his friends even into his 90’s. He took great pride in the appearance of his yard – if the sun was shining, he was working. Ray was an active member of the Belair Baptist Church in Grovetown. Mr. Hiller was preceded in death by his first wife of 32 years, June Y. Hiller, and son, Rickie M. Hiller.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Catherine Tanner Hiller; children, Douglas Hiller and wife Mary of Golden, Colorado and Jeffrey Hiller and wife Betsy of Somerville, Texas; daughter-in-law, Vivian Hiller of Dayton, Ohio; stepson; Eugene Prosser and wife Rose Marie of Davisboro; grandchildren, Matthew Hiller and wife Guen of Colorado, Beth Spurrier of Colorado, Mike Forman of Ohio, John Forman of Ohio, Doug Forman of Ohio, Tyler Prosser of Davisboro, and Kyle Prosser and wife Jessica of Sandersville; and several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to South East Hospice of Martinez for their exceptional care given to Mr. Hiller during his final days.
